an undiscovered journey
A spontaneous drive from San Francisco to Napa Valley in the 1980s. A stop at a big name winery. A chance encounter with someone willing to educate the uninitiated. This unplanned journey of two friends leads to a spark of a dream. A dream that would, after three decades, lead to Undiscovered.
Undiscovered Cellars was created as an expression to the life we have led. The friends, cultures, nature, wine...all that we have found just by being willing to open a door, turn a corner to see what lies beyond, say “hello” to a stranger. These unforeseen discoveries are what we hope to embody at Undiscovered Cellars. Drinking that first glass of wine in Napa was the seed of a dream. We are blessed in the fulfillment of that dream and our ability to share it with you.
We are so very thankful for the support and positive feedback from all of our friends and family. It is our sincere hope that you will find some Undiscovered enjoyment in our wines.

Serrhel and patty Adams, proprietors
Serrhel and Patty were born in Louisiana, where good food is considered a birth right. Serrhel‘s love of wine developed during a visit to Napa Valley in the early 1980s. Patty grew up with the same passion for food. After Serrhel and Patty married in 2009, their adventures together led to Patty discovering her hidden love of wine. A shared passion for creating quality and complex cuisine developed into a shared desire to do the same with wine.
As it does for many, Serrhel and Patty’s love and passion for wine led to many new friendships. Chris Kline and Rudy Zuidema are two friends who opened opportunities to develop wines that embody our love of food and great times with friends and family. We hope you will join us in finding all that is Undiscovered.
Chris Klein, Consultant
Chris was born into the wide world of wine. He is a Napa Valley native, whose family has been in Napa Valley since 1963. He started enjoying wine at a very young age. He has learned all aspects of winery operations from his siblings and parents. Chris married his wife Rose on September 07, 2013. Chris and Rose love making many friends who share their passion for wine. He has also learned viticulture and oenology from some of the most famous wine personalities in Napa Valley, including Rudy Zuidema, who is currently the wine maker at Undiscovered Cellars.
Rudy Zuidema, Wine maker
Rudy attended the University of California at Davis, studying Plant Science and Agriculture Management focusing on Viticulture. After graduating, he happily was able to taste thousands of wines from Napa Valley and other regions around the world. His first wine cellar experience was at St. Clement Vineyards, working with local winemaker Dennis Johns. From there he became head winemaker, vineyard manager and general manager at Cuvaison, Honig, Robert Craig, Ehlers Estate and White Cottage Ranch. A few of Rudy's other current projects include Red Cap Vineyards, Zuidema Wines, Phamus Wines, and Shadybrook Estate. We are extremely thankful to have Rudy Zuidema serving as wine maker at Undiscovered Cellars.
